~One To Three~

Greetings for August’s The Squirrel Chase.com’s One-to-Three Photo Processing Challenge. I have submitted the following three post-edit processed photos to share in the challenge. *ok, so there are 5*. Using Photoshop and Topaz, with adjustments thereto, the output is the result you see below.

The Original Photo Of A Book
Here is a lightly cleaned up original with the creative post edit outcome from Topaz. I like Topaz it is easy, but I have been enjoying and learning Photoshop more so I took myself out as soon as I got this photo edit and switched over to Photoshop to get some more practice in.

The cleaned up original went into Photoshop. With layers and double exposure it turned out this way. Clarity and using the presets I have made is again, a common factor here and these photos didn’t get away without that. The filters from Photoshop in itself are just about the same as Topaz. The degree of learning Photoshop is just slightly more aggressive.

From the post edit I went into a double exposure again in a preset and then unsaturated it for this geometric look in Photoshop.

I had a lot of fun with this one. Mainly because of the background in contrast with the book itself. Since the patterns turned out better than what I had with a solid background I continued using this photograph. I posted two more than the 3 above to show how one went from the above to below in the craziness of losing myself in post.

The geometrics of using post edits is really fun and can be endless.

If anyone just loves to create in post processing shoot on over to The Squirrel Chase.com once a month for this fun bit of sharing artful editing in post.

Until next month when three more renditions come, thanks for stopping in.

  1. Lovely edited, I like the 3rd, it is very creative

  2. Love all of the very different effects from one simple picture. I’ve been working more and more with Topaz of late. The abstracts from photoshop are mesmerizing.

  3. I like number 2. seems to me the best that shows the narrative, the last one with The geometrics is fun. I tend to do that as well. like to experiment.
