~Floral Composites~

Working on composite skills and learning more about them has been taking up some of my time in front of the computer. I really enjoy doing these and working with the Lensbaby lenses has driven me to take the result of a photograph even farther. It is a lot different being in post edit for a longer period of time. Normally I will shoot the photo, do none or minimal edits and then post, but these are a bit time consuming and yet I like doing it.

This is a peak at a few I have done and next month on 365 you will see more shots mixed in with composites and in-camera double exposures.

This is a 3 photo composite.
Background, rose on the upper left, and a rose on the lower right.

Background, carnation petals in the upper right.

A double composite with a background and then the carnations in the foreground.

This is a double exposure of a carnation.
Using the light was essential for this mood to come through on the final.

I have found I love working with flowers more and more since moving and floral photography has become a larger part of 365 and challenges such as Flower Of The Day. I am hoping to expand that for next year working with art lenses as well as macros.

If you haven’t already, I invite you to check out more of my photographs at my official photo website Kathleen Jennette. There you will see some more of the works from those creative lenses. It is a new site and just beginning to get speed but it does have the full res photos on it rather than smaller res for blogs.

Thanks for stopping in.

Til next time,
