~Pretty Petals~

Macro Monday 1-23

After working on this site changing out this theme 1,222,348,999 times *ugh*, I realized it was Macro Monday. What a relief to step away from the WP editor. Of course, I gathered up some roses for a couple of posy photos and taking a walk outside always does the trick to relieve my thoughts.

Macro Mon. 1-23-23 #2
Canon EOS R6, ISO 250, f/22, Exposure 2.5 sec.

These were taken with the Canon R6 and Canon 100mm lens after picking them. In a room with some not-so-great lighting I experimented a bit with a higher ISO of which I never use, and the top photo turned out pretty good with that. I think my favorite though is the featured image.

I sure do love Macro’d flowers and when the lens can get this close its a show and tell of just how complicated those beautiful pieces of nature are.

      Thank you, Cee It has been a long haul since Mr. Murray passed and he kind of took me to a place of deep sadness. I finally came up and over that one and made the decision to slow down on 365 and go here full on. So, yes, I am happy to see you all have kept the beautiful photos for the eyes. 🙂

    Really pretty macros – I’m glad you remembered to share them! Have you settled on a theme? I have to say I like the simplicity of this post’s appearance. It lets the photos do the talking 🙂

      I think this is it. There’s a bit of scrolling involved but I think this is the best for what I do here. Thank you!

    Your macros are very beautiful, Kathleen Jennette! You are lucky to find a theme you can use considering the poor choices offered by WP. I’d love to change mine but nothing ever renders how I want it.

          I guess they do on the “theme” page. It had it on. I just never there. It started glitching and then I looked so at least I didn’t lose the blog.
