Macro Monday is upon Tales and the swirling of the dried Eucalyptus arrangement caught my eye for this weeks share.
At first I didn’t think the photos were going to show well being taken in the shadows of the evening but the blue came through with that subtle ethereal look close to my heart. I was aiming for the speckles on the leaf and used the ring on the 100mm to blur out the rest. I do that often and you will see some past photos on 365 showing just that.


With no flash, the above is a result of that. Yes, this was done on purpose and documentation of the process.
Below is the featured image in full. It is amazing how macros can completely change reality. This, to me, looks like an insect.
