~Eyes~

Happy Saturday to all. For No. 2 in the series of nature photo challenge, the prompt is “Eyes”. Here again, I am out in the yard between sprinkles in the robe with R6 in hand and R100mm, yes, I have named them.

Even though they are manmade birds, they are sitting their metal selves in the garden with happy beaks. I do like to breakup some spaces for art and fountains to attract the birds and animals in my yard.

Bird Eyes

The tree trunk below shows a nice eyeball along with a nice sized nose on its face. I wonder if it is a new branch trying to break through.

Trunk Eyeball

The one below almost looks like an alien face good enough to use in a starship movie. Its eyeballs are on the sides of the trunk and its bark has made the nose concave. In fact, if you stare at it long enough you will see a few eyes and even a little face in one of the concaves with a gnome hat of sorts. He almost looks like the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz a bit to me *great imagination*.

The last is the tree I am a bit worried about. It cries. An arborist is on the way. In the meantime, the animal with tall ears is there just enjoying the shade. Is it a horse, coyote, dog or…?

I always felt that trees can ‘feel’. There are many books written on that subject. It is fascinating that they actually communicate through their roots and such. Boy, would I like to sit under the trees and have them miraculously tell me some tales…

Thanks again for Denzil Nature for Nature Photo Challenge #2: Eyes. This series starts with a new theme every Wednesday so if interested, check it out by clicking the link.

Til next time,

Kathleen Jennette.
