~The Sharp Of The Blur~

For Denzil’s Nature Photo Challenge #6 “Sharp” is the key word for shooting images this week. Knowing how much I do love the “blur” I snatched my Lensbaby Trio lens for the R6 and used the Sweet spot for the sharp center of this lens. (It is a trio lens and one of the three is called *Sweet*)

Here is a photo of a clump of Lilies. I wish my memory was as sharp as when I was younger, I have forgotten the name of this species. They are popping up all over in the distance. I planted them all white so they could be seen for just that reason. I think they are elegantly sharp and crisp looking regardless of my fading sharpness.

A point to the romantic feel of photos is the purpose I use this lens for. I have gathered a few of these lenses over the years. This was the newest since it is made for the R6 and has 3 different lenses in one which also cuts down on the gear bag when traveling.

The lavender grows just about all year, but it has a prettier look right now as Spring arrives. It has a soothing aroma and looks sharp in a vase.

And there you have #6. Thanks for popping in for this round.

Til next time…

      Thank you so much Cee😊

  2. […] Kathleen Jennette showcased some of her pictures using a lens that blurs the edges of photos while keeping the center sharp to end up with very soft and romantic images. […]

Beautiful images, especially of the lavender. It seems the effect of this lens is similar to using a vignette filter in post editing?

Thank you. Yes, using this lens wil bring a vignette to it. Most of these lenses do because they work only off AV or Manual and you have to hit the *release the shutter without lens* cog in the camera. There’s a little bit of a learning curve. But as it turns out the editing is nil nor none except for cropping. It is a “feel” or “mood” which includes a vignette depending on the lens. They have several. Could be more or less.

The lens produces very good depth-of-field images! ❤️

Yes, the maker is all about the blur and has many different variations of it.
