~Kathleen Jennette~
Photographer | Visual Artist

My work isn’t shaped by clients or commissions–it’s guided by intuition and emotion.

The camera turns toward whatever speaks loudest. It captures forgotten corners. It focuses on the rush of life. It embraces raw textures. That particular silence or madness is my chosen adventure. My Photography is a personal practice—an ongoing experiment in seeing. Mood matters more than perfection, instinct outweighs structure, and whim is more important than a polished planned thought. There’s a pull toward solitude, dreamlike tones, imperfect beauty, and imagery that invites interpretation. In “a sense of”, I am exploring imperfection in my photography as a personal journey.

Largely self-taught, with a curious mind and a restless urge to explore, the process has always been rooted in emotion. The goal isn’t to meet the expectations of traditional photography, but to capture what feels true in the moment. This isn’t an occupation—it’s a way of being.

Over the years, commissions and exhibitions have come and gone. They’ve been appreciated. Now, with more than five decades spent behind the lens, freedom is the driving force. Creation happens when it wants to, not when it’s required.

Connection and shared inspiration matter deeply, which is what this blog is all about. For those interested in prints, my website for prints is www.kathleenjennette.com. And for those who want to connect, email is always open.

No agenda. Just a camera, a sense of wonder, and the wish to be in the now—one frame at a time.

Thanks for stopping in.

Til next time…
