This photo was dug out from the archives of my ride through Northern California to my friend’s home in Shady Creek, Oregon. It was an amazing ride being it was a solo ride and perfect weather. I do remember there was a fire and I had to take detours because the fire was right off Highway 1. Even then everyone was worried about the trees and such. I think of that now when the fires are still a danger up there. There is so much history and nature there. This photo is not that great. It is just a great memory taken on a Canon Power Shot of its day a few years ago. Keep the memories and use what you have. We live in an age where everyone has a camera on their phones…use them.

I sure am grateful for our local radio system. #thankful

A photo of Peltzer Pines Christmas Tree Farm. You get to choose and cut the tree. It survived the burn and looks like it is thriving. I have yet to go there since moving. Somehow the live trees always go bad before the holiday and it never fails...dries out and dies too fast.

I took a little hike. Then I took a bunch of photos. Then I took a ride back home because it was to darn hot. That's it.

I love the sound of this.

All curled up and still holding her own, the little daisy still maintains her color and spunk. Sometimes you just can't tell an old girl to stop living and sometimes withering to stay alive and live the moment is better than not. Nature sure is beautiful.

A bunch of old world posies for a Saturday eve brings the smell of sweet memories. Watching Little Women is a favorite movie and while watching it I did this little posie photo with the art lens. The trees will be getting trimmed next week. The winds will soon speak again and I'm not so sure I'm going to like what they say. They screamed fire last time so I'm not looking forward to them. However I earned a good set of armor the last time they spoke so I think I'm ready. The limbs on my oaks have been strong but they have also grown a lot since last year's trimming. This one gets trimmed next week and that will allow seating here without the acorns dropping on our heads. It's also close to the house and it has to be trimmed away. I hope Fall and rain come sooner than later.
