  1. Ahh, the bathing costumes of years gone by. Thank you for following my blog Kathleen. Your pictures are exquisite. I also use a Canon camera, mostly my digital compact, sometimes the DSLR on weekends and, like you did, once I am retired I would like to devote more time to photography. (For starters, learning to use that DSLR off the automatic setting.) Then I could only hope to have a smidgeon of your talent. – Linda

    1. You are so kind Linda. Thank you. It does take some time but it’s easier than most think. Just put it on a tripod and go from there. In the meantime, there’s nothing bad about a compact or the cellphone camera. Just have fun 😊

      1. Kathleen – I actually take more photos with the digital camera as it is easier and handier and makes no noise. The shutter clicking sometimes will spook birds or critters (except the squirrels who are fearless when it comes to peanuts/treats). I know I will not run out of things to learn about in retirement and am looking forward to it immensely.

  2. Life would have been very different in those years, much slower and no internet. Win! My how times have changed, no bikinis in sight.
