  1. In an interesting coincidence, over New Year we rented an apartment in Newcastle upon Tyne for a week, and among the rather quirky ornaments was a camera just like these, repurposed as a lamp. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it either, as I love seeing old cameras, but I suspect many would get thrown away if not made use of in some way.

  2. Hi Kathleen, welcome to Sunday Stills! If you’ve posted here before, then welcome back! These are great shots of those old cameras–such classics! In some ways, better to be lamps in their incarnations, than forgotten on a dusty shelf, or worse in the garbage! I hope you take the plunge and repurpose one–I like the Ring idea ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks Terri! I happen to agree with you. It gives me a huge gulp, but there seems to be no use except for shelf pieces. I have my grandfather’s and won’t use those, but I did buy one years ago and just may use that to see what I can come up with. Thanks for welcoming me!

  3. I love old cameras! Never toss them. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I have al old Canon that my dad gave me a few years ago, it still shoots fine and is in mint condition and has it’s own bag.
