Yellow is in for Denzils Nature Photo Challenge. I missed the last two challenges for lack of subject and this time the roses are in bloom out in the desert. It seemed like it was a perfect run in and I am still surprised how well these roses grow there.

I haven’t been out there for a few weeks because of rain and being garden busy in between it all and coming into the after bloom of the flowers was what was there to shoot. I do savor the whole flower from bud to petal end. The colors change through the life of it and gives such beauty to photograph.

A little Lantana thrown in the bunch for its pretty contrast colors. This one has a beautiful ring of yellow centering it.

Summer is coming and soon the colors will be burning off from the heat, so enjoying the shades of yellow and all of the Spring colors is a favor to my lens and vase.
Til next time,
Kathleen Jennette

Thank you. They are a good fill flower being so hardy with heat and the soil not so perfect.

Oh yes! But I’m sure they are purposely planted. I’m surprised they do so well in the conditions of it.
