No fancy photography here for Denzil’s Nature Photo Challenge #17. I don’t own a bee suit. Here are a couple of long-distance nerve-racking photos and a short get-out-of-town video for the challenge.

The sound is what got me. I would have never known they were there without the buzzing sound. Honey bees generally won’t sting but swarms… I dunno.
We had six swarms one after the other. The weather has now turned warm and they are finally gone.
It is time for a beekeepers suit and some honey.
Til next time…

[…] No close-ups from Kathleen Jennette, and I don’t blame her, considering the number of bees in these swarms. […]
Wow, that is some swarm! Honeybees moved into our chimney a few years ago, we noticed them one at a time coming into the kitchen and waiting to be let out through the window. So we blocked up the gaps around the flue at the bottom, hoping the bees wouldn’t like it so much if there was no airflow. Fortunately, it worked, and they soon moved out.
I hope what I did works too, it is just tiresome over and over.
Oh, this happen to my kids too! Nightmare
It is a nightmare. I had a guest coming to!
Yikes
Goodness me, you’ve had some interesting experiences with bees Kathleen Jennette! I don’t blame you for keeping your distance.
It seems the weather has thrown a bad turn for bees also. The bee keeper said someone is not taking care of their bee hives. When they don’t do that, they vacate and look for another place.
Wonderful!
Oh my gosh, I am glad that they have left! It’s time for someone to spray that area, right? I can hear the swarming, Kathleen Jennette! Bee careful. 😊
🙂
No spraying! Just call a beekeeper, they would be thrilled to capture and take them back to re-hive them. 🙂
Our problem was/is that they invaded the internal house via the roof, and the roof would have to be taken off as with the dry wall. Evidently, they were there for a while and redoing the roof and having construction is not in the budget. We did call several beekeepers and they were so busy they would not not only not come out, but they did not want to get on the roof. Instead, they orange sprayed, and they eventually left. We ended up foaming the cracks and crevices up for no returns. So far, so good.

I hope the seals will keep them out, Kathleen Jennette. 🙏🏻
Me too!
