Last week was spent in the garden side-yard prepping the veggie containers and planting in more color. Pansies do well here and are a favorite. After planting, the rain came in to settle them in. Again, perfect timing for today’s Macro Monday and a raindrop.

I used the Canon R5 and the R24mm for these macros and they were cropped in Lightroom to get a bit of a closer look than the original shot.

Above is the center of a yellow and purple Pansy. It reminded me of something I would see in the ocean when I used to dive. Next time I am thinking of using the adapters to get a bit closer and more detailed.

It has been raining all night and most of the day, so the flowers seemed to be sinking from the weight. They are small right now and as drenched as they were, the colors showed well in the shots for being the middle of the day. Such is Nature…a nice little gift of surprises.
Thanks for stopping by for Macro Monday.
Til next time…

Lovely photos, Kathleen Jennette! I’m glad the windstorm has finally moved on, that was the worst one I’ve seen to date. Happy Monday!
Thank John. Yes, I had to drive in it and the hood of my car looked like it was going to fly off. All is well though😊
Wow, you are brave! There was no way I was taking my new car out of the garage. I’m glad you are okay! 👍
All the years riding in bad weather, this was not fun.
I don’t doubt that! 😮
