~Stalls~

Our neighborhood was full of horses and all that comes with them last weekend. A rodeo was a first here and it was a lot of fun. I took just a few shots as it was pretty crowded, and I really just wanted to have fun with my neighbors, and we sure did. The below area was closed-off because of some livestock inhabitants, but the look appeared and so I took the moment.

The below photo was taken before everyone arrived. Doing a post edit in photoshop with a gradient I was satisfied with the outcome from color to this for Monochrome Monday look.

The tooled saddle on this was beautiful, but what drew me to this guy was his veins. I know that may sound crazy, but they are all muscle, and it showed. Spectacular animals with loads of love and skill indeed.

I shoot photos for some reason or another that hits me as a photographer for that moment. Something that “grabs” me through the lens seems to work for a shot in time to remember and save so to speak. I think that is why I love to explore everyone else’s work here on our blogs also. There’s a reason for taking the shot and I just plain have fun and enjoy it all. I guess we can say we are the new “Quick Draw McGraws”. How many remember that one? I kind of like that.

Ya Hoo everyone and thanks for stopping in…

I remember Quick Draw McGraw, but I believe he was a horse that walked on two legs and looked out of shape-unlike the beautiful animal with saddle that you photographed here. 🙂

Indeed yes, he was a little stocky and wore a hat *haha*. Not too many can remember that but those were some funny little cartoons. Thank you, and yes, those horses are really amazing and beautiful up close 🙂
