Hello and Welcome to #12 of our ICMPC, the first of 2025. This is a photo challenge that encompasses in-camera movement for a creative look at photography. Rules are above under the ICMPC tab. Anyone is welcome to join in. Don’t forget to do a ping back so that we may all take a look at your image.
Yes, we have had one heck of a time with fires and the winds here So. California, so I turned the colors on for a happier note. Here are a couple of the Lemon Tree that never quits giving me lemonade throughout the year.

I was really trying to get these on the Leica, however I just couldn’t get the hand swing of it on the camera, so these were shot on the Canon R5 Mark II which is a great camera for this challenge, and I suppose for the future – the go-to. Remember, you can use any type of camera for this challenge including a cell phone, you just cannot use any apps for the ICM motion you create.

Ok, you have a whole month to ping back your photo for this challenge. Use your ICM creativity for anything that shoots your creative mood. Just enjoy the moments you get to create then share them. It is always exciting to see what comes up.
Thanks for all who have joined in throughout the year. The next ICM will be February 20.

Lovely.

Nature is so giving and to think this was simply broken ice! The color blue seems to come out well on the ICMs and this one is wonderful!
Kathleen, I hope all is well with you and loved ones as these fires spread in California. Your ICM post brings so much beauty. The colors are light and perfect together. Here’s my entry for this month:

Thank you and your photos are very surreal this time around with the waters. Very nice and the mood is captured beautifully!
Kathleen, thank you for your kind remarks.
You are very welcome.
[…] We had the first freeze of the season this week. Although it barely got below the freezing mark, it was enough to notice plenty of frost and ice in areas without much sunlight. Enough ice was in one shallow section of the pond behind our backyard, keeping the water still. Also, more noticeably, one of the bird baths had a thin sheet of ice. I choose that bird bath for the latest ICM Photo Challenge, ICMPC #12. […]
I love these abstract captures! 📸💨🤩
Yes, it takes me away for just a bit from the ordinary. Thank you 🙂
Love the colors!
Thank you, that lemon tree is very yellow these days. 🙂
Thank you Nora!
Lovely color blends. They look kaleidoscopic. 🙂
I decided we needed a bit of color these days. Thanks Nancy!
Lovely abstracts, Kathleen! I’ve never tried this. Be safe! 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you John, looks like the wind is over 🙂
You are welcome, and I hope so! We had a two day blow here recently but it’s calm now.
