Even the simplest scenes can hold a story. Since my leg procedures, my world has grown smaller for a time—but no less photogenic. The hills are out of reach for now, so my lens has learned the contours of the porch and the familiar view shifting with light. The other afternoon, the shadows fell just so, painting shapes across the ground. That was all the invitation I needed. Out came the Leica, and in a few quiet clicks, Monochrome Monday found its latest frames right here at home.
Sometimes, the best shots are right outside the door. A few shadows, a camera in hand, and Monochrome Monday was complete—no hills required. It was a much-needed pause, the kind of moment that speaks to some, but not to everyone.

I’ve been poking around behind my house a lot this summer rather than risk the weather and my ‘broken parts’. A few changes to my backup camera and I have a single shot, B&W only set up. Keeps the fun in photography 😁
I agree. It has been very hot this year here again and my bones are feeling their age these days. B & W has become a good addiciton for my cameras. I guess its the nostalgia but I agree, fun it is Ted 🙂
