As tiny as it is, this is the last rose from the garden. I was surprised to see it. Now it is in the house in a vase on my desk. It is a miniature rose, and it was calling out for today’s Thursday Blursday.

The Lensbaby Velvet 56mm lens is used here. At different F-Stops it gives out a Bokeh different than other lenses. The degree of softness, or blur, changes as the F-Stop and ISO does. Not very different from any classic lens, but Lensbaby Lenses are built with the blur in mind or a softness for the photo.

As you can see from the above photo the degree of the blur is much more visible with an added softness to the whole photo compared to the first, yet the subject of the rose is focused, and it is still recognizable.

The F-Stop and light are seen here above. Standing in the same place and just turning the camera gave each one a look different from the other.

A double exposure was calling my name. I used 3 exposures for this and other than the grey in the photo I like the way it turned out. 

These are all in camera shots and other than the logo and bit of straightening you are seeing the actual photo. The cameras these days are making it a lot easier to spend less time in post. However, I do use post and can’t ever say I don’t like that convenience too.

I have, I think, discovered that doing a challenge isn’t too hard to do. All I have to do is open up pingbacks or tracking. It should be quite simple. I think February will be a good beginning and I will post more on that.
