I will be posting ‘Through The Window’ photos (as I have been calling them) here more often. I like the feel of the movement when in a vehicle but also when I am behind a window with all the dirt and grime added in. I can’t tell you what hindsight is in a bad way for me when I think of all the film and digital I tossed because of that. Now, for some crazy reason, I like it. Go figure.
Shooting pictures while riding as a passenger in a car is a soothing pastime, particularly on a long car ride. Sometimes, pulling over for those Kodak moments isn’t reasonable, so I click away from my seat using my cell or camera. Here are a couple of through-the-window shots for Monochrome Monday again, from Cellzilla.

Energy windmills are all over once Highway 10 enters the desert. There is a road leading to them, but I’ve yet been able to pull over and figure that out. Soon, I’d like to experience the enormity of them while standing underneath.

As you can see, there are some reflections in this shot. I liked them and what they added to the photo. After all, I’m inside shooting out through dirty windows. I like that they show that and not remove it to give a different feel.

This was a moving train. Skeleton cars are followed up by whole cars. It looks like nothing, but it’s in motion and must be going someplace for use. I wonder what for and where.
I used my Samsung Ultra 23 with these. I have been doing some research into how much camera this phone has and it has a lot. The new 24 I hear is pretty good too, but I do not run out and buy a new phone just because this one is just fine. Using the Pro mode has its perks and surprisingly, takes a great wide pic.
In saying all that, I found my Fujica film camera. I love it…
More on that coming.
Til next time…

Yes, love to keep busy when I’m in the passenger seat. You caught some beauties here, Kathleen, and they work great in monochrome.
Yes, it can get boring sometimes, so the camera comes out and then time flies 😁
I love the shades of muted grey in your image with the sun and haze covered mountains. All great shots, Kathleen! 🙂
Thanks Nancy. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your thoughts here. Every day ordinary things turn into art for me. Call me cwazzzzeee. 😁
